The Gate

The other day (...week?...month?  It goes by SO FAST)  Joel had snuck through our wooden baby gate (up temporarily while I paint/update our front entry) and then down into basement past our metal gate and locked himself in the stairwell.  Leo alerted me with "Ut oh Bubba!  Ut oh!" while cautiously staying behind the fallen wooden gate and pointing towards his trapped brother.  Coming around the corner I couldn't help but laugh at Joel's confused expression - unsure of whether to be scared or proud.  As I moved the fallen gate and unhinged the metal one, Leo snuck right past and went through the gate to join his "Bubba" and locked it closed behind him.  

Before I even had a chance to think about it I went into imagination mode and with a wild look of shock on my face I said, "Ooooooooh noooooooo.  Whats down there?!  Why do you think we keep the gate closed?!"  And as the words came out of my mouth and concern came across their precious tiny faces I started to scold myself, "MISSY!  What are you doing?!  You don't want to instill FEAR into your children's minds!  Playful or not, why would you want to scare them?!"   And that's when I heard, "But without being scared, one never has a chance to be brave."*

*NOTE: When I say 'heard' it is not a loud, audible 3D voice.  If you've ever had a song stuck in your head and heard song lyrics within your mind, its like that.  I say 'heard' instead of 'thought' because the slightly surprised, almost epiphanic "By golly you're right!" reaction I had to the comment made me realize it was not my own conscious thought.

So I briefly continued on with the make believe, pretending that I couldn't get the gate unlocked, then 'rescuing' them.  They got to be brave (and they so were.  My sweet, sweet little men) and Mommy got to be a Hero.

​Who's at YOUR gate?

Are you familiar with your intuition?  Your KNOWing?  Those times when you just KNEW you should turn left instead of right and come to find out you avoided a traffic jam?  Or you thought about somebody that you haven't in a while and then the next day you run into them?  Well, that is precisely how my psychic abilities have been developing (and how you can develop yours too. Your intuition is like a muscle, you must train it for it to become stronger).  The 'knowings' have been increasingly abundant, but my discernment is still being fine tuned.  I know that something means something, but for who or what or why is not always clear.  It started with Angel Numbers (Do you see 11:11 on the clock all the time? Or experience similar repetitive similarities?) and then the patterns moved to Pinterest, Music, Facebook, Tumblr, Emails, Television, and even within others' conversations around me.  I'll pick up on a knowing, my intuition indicator goes off, and I interpret it as my gut sees fit - my PERCEPTION.  

Are you in tune with YOUR PERCEPTION?  

For example, the song lyrics ♪♫"Its been a long road without you my friend, and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again." ♪♫ may be perceived as a song for a buddy lost to one man, or about a long distance lover for another, or about a child lost to someone else.      

During my first channel session, I was sitting on the couch with my husband next to me as we listened to music on TV, then a stand up comedy, then an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie.  As I sat at my laptop and typed away my gallery style messages I learned that I had 23 in the group extending messages, mostly of hippie decent, and we were having so much fun!  It was incredible!  Euphoric!  At one point as I was typing I got the sensation that I actually knew who the message was for. "Is this for Stephanie???" I thought in my head.  Just as I finished my thought my husband mentions out loud my friend Stephanie 'out of nowhere' - which was synchronistic enough to confirmation to me that it was indeed for her.  

AND THEN, Arnold Schwarzenegger came on the TV sliding behind the wheel of a Semi-truck and with his booming, authoritative voice declared, "MOVE OVER! ARNOLD'S DRIVING NOW!" and I PANICKED.  I was in FEAR that I was no longer in control.  As I moved through my anxiety attack, someone on the TV said, "GIRL, I'm going to have to reteach you everything!" and that is when I realized that I was creating my reality and allowed FEAR to be at my gate.  Fear is NOT of GOD.  GOD IS LOVE.  ​

Separateness.  Duality.  The false beliefs that we are divided from each other.  The competition.  The “Struggle” – it is NOT REAL.

If the Soul is eternal - always was, always is, and always will be...then all it ever really is, is NOW.  And you have control over your NOW.  The Law - Natural LAW - the LAW OF ATTRACTION states that like attracts like.  This is SCIENCE.  What you GIVE is what you GET.  What you think, you become.  You CREATE YOUR REALITY.  Is yours one of love?  Of Unity?  Of Compassion?

This is how Jesus saved us from our 'sins' (our darkness), by showing us the LIGHT.  By living in LOVE, as God wants for us.

The Spiritualist Declaration of Principles, Principle #7 States:

7.  We affirm the moral responsibility of individuals, and that we make our own happiness or unhappiness as we obey or disobey Nature’s physical and spiritual laws.
Simplified Form:  We bring unhappiness to ourselves by the errors we make and we will be happy if we obey the laws of life.

You create your own Heaven or Hell, by your thoughts and your deeds.  Jesus shows us that the way to Heaven is LOVE.  His Love, God's Love - that is what I want Guarding my Gate.
