Every soul longs to be chosen.
Psychologically, being “chosen” speaks to the primal desire for belonging, significance, and purpose. But when the ego hears “few are chosen,” it interprets that through the wounds of rejection, comparison, and scarcity.
So we scramble—trying to be the "special one," climbing religious ladders, spiritualizing ambition, mistaking hierarchy for holiness.
But the true choosing?
It’s not about outperforming others.

To be “chosen” is not to be superior.
