Watch and pray, that you may not enter into temptation. Temptation for what? Sin. And what is sin other than any expression other than love? I have been very tempted to sin. I have been very tempted to express fear and doubt in the realization of my desires made manifest. I have been tempted to settle for less than the desire God has placed in my heart. It feels like settling would be easier. But the reality is that settling would be death. Settling would be continuing to confine myself in the walls of my own hell. I have free will. I am free to choose. In fact, we are so free that we can choose bondage. And choosing to settle - choosing fear over faith - would be my bondage. Watch and pray, that you enter not into temptation.
I choose to have faith in God. I choose to have faith in LOVE. I pray that whatever you are facing that you enter not into temptation. I pray that sin stays far away from you. I pray that love reigns in your heart, mind, body, and soul. I pray that you are feeling better - it fills me to see that you have decided not to go after all. Whether you choose to stay or go, love is here for you.

Hello and welcome (back)! Today I am going to blog about how to make "Nemechek Chocolates". But first, Id like to tell you about Dr. Nemechek and the Nemechek Protocol. "The Nemechek Protocol for Autism and Developmental Delay is the most scientific and refined approach to reversing the devastating effects of autism, ADD, ADHD, SPD and the myriad of other developmental disorders. Dr. Nemechek's approach frequently triggers rapid and often breath-taking improvements in children within only a few weeks. And surprisingly, the protocol employs common and natural supplements, and avoids the countless homeopathic remedies and antibiotics frequently prescribed to children that are often both toxic and expensive. Within a few days of starting the protocol many children will experience a connectedness to their surrounds never previously experienced. Significant improvements in motor, sensory and speech delays are realized within the first few weeks. Attention and learning disabilities rapidly begin to resolve within the first few weeks to months as the child's brain restores neuronal pathways damaged by the physical, emotional and inflammatory traumas commonly experienced in childhood. Through a simple 2-step process of re-balancing intestinal bacteria and omega fatty acids, Dr. Nemechek has discovered how to re-activate the brain’s neuronal pruning and repair processes thereby allowing a child's brain to begin repairing past injuries and developing correctly." (from Amazon's book description) You may continue reading about the Protocol and purchase his book HERE. You can also check out his website HERE. Re-balancing and healing the gut through the Nemechek Protocol is done with 3 super simple ingredients: * Fish Oil * Inulin * Certified Extra Virgin Olive Oil The fish oil and inulin can be purchased in gummy form, BUT for those with sensory issues, gummies may not be an option. And for littles who are unable to swallow pills, what is a parent to do? Answer: CHOCOLATE! (chocolate is always the answer hehe) Making chocolates is super easy and can be done two ways. The first is to put the doses per chocolate into each mold directly, stir, and then add the melted chocolate and stir again. While this ensures exact dosing per chocolate, it is pretty messy and does not guarantee a visually pleasing end result (you can see the inulin from being unable to stir completely to avoid a huge mess.) The other method is to mix all of the ingredients together, and then add them to the mold. While this does not ensure equal dosing per chocolate, it will still give your child the proper dosing over a span of time and it is much quicker and easier (and less messy!) than method 1. SO: Step 1: Gather ingredients and figure out dosing. You will need: Nordic Naturals Children's DHA NOW Brand Inulin Powder And Your flavor choice Chocolate Candy Melts (I used milk chocolate flavor, but you can get creative! The link is to purchase on Amazon, but I just picked mine up at our local Hobby Lobby) **As for the dosing, you will need to purchase the book or join the Facebook Support Group. For my 4.5 year old, I make the chocolates so there are 2 per serving (2.5 ml fish oil and 1/8 tsp inulin each). Step 2: Mix together inulin and fish oil in one bowl - set aside. Using 1/3 of 12 oz bag of chocolates, microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and microwave an additional 20 seconds. Stir. Chocolates should be completely melted. Add oil and inulin mixture to melted chocolate. Mix thoroughly. Step 3: Add mixture to chocolate mold! **Tip: I use a children's Tylenol dosing syringe. Each mold will fit a little more than 5ml each. Step 4: Chill! And you are all set! VOILA!
As you can see, method 2 yields a much more visually pleasing product! ***Since starting the Nemechek Protocol, I have seen a HUGE improvement in my SPD Seeker. Within days of starting I noticed a drastic improvement in his coordination and proprioception awareness - he bumps and crashes far less and all of his bruising from frequent falling is gone! His speech has exploded (this is one of the more regularly shared successes on the Facebook Support Group - non-verbals becoming verbal after starting the protocol). His emotional regulation has vastly improved - no more EPIC meltdowns! And his appetite has sky-rocketed. I share this information because I know first hand how challenging and overwhelming it is to raise a child with a neurological disorder and learning this protocol has been nothing short of a miracle for my boy! If you or someone you know has a child with a neurological disorder, I highly recommend this protocol. I was set out to get some last minute Christmas stuff done this weekend. My mom had the boys and I had the day blocked out for myself. But I was not alone. I invited God into my day. In fact, I asked Him on a date. “Please accompany me today, God. Let me swim in Your Abundant Love.” And let me tell you what, God did NOT disappoint! After I checked off my first stop, I decided to try to squeeze in a haircut. I am your typical Last-Minute-Mom when it comes to hair care. Id like to have a set stylist but I always just take whatever is available wherever its available. But Saturday, God made sure His beloved was well taken care of. I called the nearest Salon and they happened to have a cancellation and could fit me in RIGHT NOW, but that was the only available time. MINE. I claimed it. I told her Id be there in 5 minutes. When I walked in she told me it was a good thing I called because as soon as we hung up, 2 other people came in inquiring about a walk-in cut. I was also elated to discover that she was the High-End/Top-Tier stylist who is usually booked out months in advance. Not only did I receive the best haircut I've had in years, she lovingly complimented and raved about my natural hair color. She continued with the love and said, “And its so soft too! I could pet your hair all day long. This is making me want a haircut.” I was basking in God’s love. He was serenading me through His beloved child. I got some more Christmas shopping done at the salon and picked out my own gifts – new foundation and liquid eyeliner. And wouldn’t you know – the foundation is number 11 and the eyeliner is number 111 – significant repetitive numbers between God and myself. He sure knows how to treat a lady! I then decided on some Mani/Pedi self-care. I went across the way to the nail salon and of course they could get me right in. As I picked out the color for my Pedi and read the label “Romeo & Juliet” I couldn’t help but grin – God telling me He is the Ultimate Lover of My Soul. My Pedicure was absolutely dreamy. The gentleman did not try to hold conversation, but rather let me sink into relaxation and welcoming me with only a friendly smile any time we did make eye contact. He doubled my leg and foot massage and tenderly took care of my tired achy feet. I picked out my nail color – I wanted to try a bare nude for the first time. Of COURSE it was bottle number 111! And the brand – “Perfect Match”. God is your perfect match and only He can love you perfectly as you desire. I used to struggle with self-care. After all, “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). But diving even more into scripture, the greatest commandments are these: 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’[a] Its no surprise this is reiterated in His Word. On these TWO commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
"Love thy neighbor AS THYSELF". If I do not love myself, how can I best love my neighbor? If I do not seek out, recognize, and nourish my OWN needs, how can I expect to recognize and nourish the needs of my brothers and sisters? We cannot give from an empty basket and we cannot pour from an empty cup. What have you done to love yourself today? I had a lovely, perfectly orchestrated date with God. And it all started with a simple invitation. I invite you to invite God into your day today. And I would LOVE to hear all about your date! |
