Hello Beloved and welcome back! Im super excited to write a post for you today as I have had a great response lately from my readers. But as much as I love knowing that my words mean something to someone, even more so it thrills me to know that God's Word is being heard! So Father, I ask as I write this post that Your Word is spoken through me. I ask that Your Holy Spirit give me the right words that need to be heard and answers to questions asked and allow them to flow through me to Your audience. I Thank You, Lord, for this blessing and gift. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen! So, I find myself with lots of questions for God. Like, why would He give the gift of discerning between spirits (1 Corinthians 12:1-1) if He does not want us to seek out Mediums or Spiritists (Leviticus 19-31)? Isaiah 8:19 actually gives a brief clarification of this, but I only just discovered that verse when looking up the other two just now! So, thank you Holy Spirit for directing me and providing swift answers and confirmation! Anywho, one question that has been on my mind lately has been in regards to John 14:14 (and several other verses say it similarly) John 14:14 ANYTHING?! Really....ANYTHING? And this is stated in His word multiple times. Mark 11:24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Matthew 21:22 If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 16:23-24 23 In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Very truly I tell you, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 24 Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. James 1:5-6 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. And my favorite, from the book of Matthew: "Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven." - Matthew 18-19 And of course, God answered! First with the repetition of seeing words and images about praying in Jesus' name, and then with this article showing up in my Pinterest feed.
Excerpt from Article: “Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him. And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us” (1 John 3:21-23 NIV). The Bible says God has laid out five conditions to answered prayer: 1) you have an honest relationship with God, 2) you harbor no unforgiveness toward anyone, 3) you’re willing to share the results with other people, 4) you ask God in faith, and 5) you pray in Jesus’ name. I know that I have some big prayers being answered, so I am trying to continually go over this "checklist" to keep myself in check. So, dear beloved, if you too are waiting for answers to your prayers, know that you can ask ANYTHING of your Father in heaven, and it WILL BE DONE for you, in Jesus' name! I pray your prayers are answered. Yahweh bless and keep you. -Missy
